Markdown Tutorial

A short markdown tutorial wrapped in an NCSU Libraries Jekyll Theme. The base code for the tutorial can be found here https://github.com/gjtorikian/markdowntutorial.com. It is intended to be used as a GitHub Project Page site. It is a mash up of a tutorial built by Garen Torikian and the NCSU Libraries Jekyll template (https://github.ncsu.edu/tdstoffe/ncsu-jekyll-template).

Running Locally

After cloning the project, you need to run two commands:

le install
ll serve

Tech Stack

• Jekyll for templating the site and compiling assets
• Ace for the code editors
• Marked for the Markdown conversion
• Bootstrap from the original tutorial's design
• Foundation from the NCSU Libraries Jekyll wrapper
• Font Awesome for the awesome fonts
