Look at SF

A budget transparency visualization for San Francisco.

Overview

This budget visualization is built entirely using HTML and JavaScript. There is no server-side code.

The data is checked into this repo and loaded/parsed from CSV files via D3.

How to contribute

• Fork the project.
• Make your feature addition or bug fix.
• Commit and send pull requests. Please include a note in your request acknowledging that you assent to the MIT License for your contribute.

Data

Input data for our visualizations comes from San Francisco Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports posted on the city controller's web site.

GDP deflator data (used in calculating inflation adjustments) is courtesy of the U.S. Department of Commerce: Bureau of Economic Analysis.
